Traffic Ticket For A Red Light Moving Violation Requires Traffic School In Florida
As of October 2009, a new law in Florida requires red light runners who receive a traffic ticket to attend traffic school. With the increase in these traffic violations there is a hope that for those drivers that run red lights they will benefit from a basic driver improvement course.
– Every year, red light runners cost the public billion on lost income, medical bills and damages to public property. Reacquainting red light runners with the rules of the road and traffic laws could be a nice refresher for them on how much that little "I need to get there right now so I'm going to break this teensy-tiny rule" idea will end up costing not only themselves, but the general population.

Who knows, maybe a member of your family is a red light runner --- to pass traffic school, drivers are required to know that red means stop. Would you still like to step foot on the road if you know there are this many of them?
– Though the damages that red light runners inflict are similar to drunk drivers, (serious injuries/death) most impatient drivers consider red light running a lesser offense.
In the new law, if you receive a traffic ticket for running a red light running you will be required to take a traffic school course or otherwise down as basic driver improvement course. You will receive a notification and be required to complete the course within 90 days of the offense. Red light runners who choose ignore this can find their license suspended.
